LPN Study Guides

Why are LPN study guides so popular?  For anyone who’s about to graduate from licensed practical nursing school, it’s crunch time.  The moment they’ve been working hard to reach for over a year is about to arrive,  time for their appointment with destiny, also known as the National Council on Licensing Exam (NCLEX-PN).  All their hard work can be for naught, and all their hopes can be dashed if they don’t pass the NCLEX_PN.  That’s why so many students invest in LPN study guides.  And the smarter students buy one well before test time approaches.  Many of them purchase one when they enroll in school.

There are lots of study guides that promise to help you pass the NCLEX-PN and get certification as a licensed practical nurse.  Deciding which one to choose can be difficult, and cause anxiety on the part of the student, because the wrong choice can mean failure on the test.  Which means having to pay big money to take the test again,  and having to wait several weeks or months to retake it while they brush up on their knowledge.  That’s a long time to delay the start of your long awaited nursing career.  So we’ve found two different LPN study guides that we recommend, and which are better than average.

The first one is Lippincott’s Review for NCLEX-PN by Barbara Kuhn Timby, Ann Carmack, and Diana L. Rupert.  This LPN study guide has helped thousands of nursing students pass the licensing test on their first try.  It’s thorough, well written, and well organized.  It’s an excellent choice for any nursing student.  Our second recommendation is written by Linda Ann Silvestri and it’s the Saunders Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-PN, 3rd Edition.  This is a massive book (1104 pages), and it, too has helped thousands of nurses pass the test on the first attempt.  Talk about thorough…if you read about it in nursing school, it’s in there.  Which of the two LPN study guides is best?  It’s a tossup, really.  They’re pretty much equal, and they stand head and shoulder above almost all the other guides out there.  You can’t go wrong with either
one.
